Ski Programs

Welcome to Yawgoo Valley Ski School. We offer ski lessons for ages 3 to 99! These programs are all set in a group atmosphere and held for six consecutive weeks starting with Thursday classes on January 2, 2020.

 If a skiing program is not visible as an option below, it may not be available for registration quite yet.

How to choose a program:

1. Choose a sport 'Trackers' indicate ski lessons & 'Shredders' indicates snowboard lessons.

2. Choose a program that matches the student's age FIRST

3. Review the options available for your age group and determine if your child falls within the levels.

4. Register for the program and include student's skill level (if any) based on the YV Snow Sports Experience Level Chart (Pop-Up).

  If you are unsure where you should place your child, please reach out to us at or 401-294-3802 x 112. In some cases, students may be more advanced than their age group permits in group lessons. In consideration of all of our guests, please only enroll in a program you believe your child can handle.


Rental Equipment Reminder

 All participants using Yawgoo Valley Rental equipment during the programs must visit the Rental Shop no later than December 1st for an equipment fitting. This ensures a proper fit and guarantees your size. Please consider this prior to giving a lesson as a gift or surprise. Equipment rental is only available for use during lesson days. Extended use is permitted with the purchase of a lift ticket or season pass. We do not rent helmets, but they are available in for purchase in our Pro Shop.

Saturdays: Nov. 16, 23, 30, Dec. 7 | 10 A.M. – 2 P.M.
Saturday, November 9 | 1 P.M. – 5 P.M.
Thanksgiving, November 28 | CLOSED
Black Friday, November 29 | 10 A.M. – 2 P.M.

Alternate Equipment Options 

 Seasonal Rental Equipment

 Our Pro Shop Equipment Leasing program is available to program participants at $199 for a pair of BRAND-NEW skis, boots, and poles OR snowboard and boots. The gear is YOURS for the entire season! If paid the rental fee for the program, you may apply your rental fee to Lease equipment. Does not apply to programs that include equipment or equipment is not available. Lease Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis starting November 7 in the PRO SHOP (separate from the Rental Shop). Sorry, no advanced purchases.


 Used Ski & Snowboard Sale | October 19 

Stop by the Annual Exeter Fall Festival and grab yourself or someone you love some lightly new ski or snowboard equipment. Our one-season-used lease equipment is a perfect way to pick up lightly used sets that don’t break the bank. The sale will be held rain or shine inside the main lodge 10am-3pm. Sorry, no advanced purchases.

Turn & Track | Ski

Ages 10 - 17 | Levels 4-6 This program is designed skiers who have progressed their skills enough to be independent on both lifts & trails. A one-hour lesson experience aimed to improve skills with a lift pass to practice newly acquired skills after the lesson. Students are released from the instructor’s supervision after the 60-minute lesson.

Grown-Up Trackers | Ski

Ages 13 - 99 | First Timers, Levels 1 - Levels 5 This program is designed for Adults and Teens. Students will enjoy the group atmosphere of learning comfortably with their peers! Whether you’re coming back to after some time off or you’re starting a new adventure our instructors have you covered! This Program will be available for registration starting: Tuesday, September 17 at NOON.

Ski Apprentice in Training

Ski Ages 12 and up | Levels 4, 5, & 6 This class is for older Trackers & Shredders who are looking to advance their skills and prepare for a future in teaching snowsports instruction. Students in this class will work on improving skiing and riding skills, learn all aspects of safe navigation on the slopes and lifts, work together as a team within their peers to prepare themselves for a possible future in teaching snowsports. Those excelling in skills and knowledge will be invited to apply to our Snow Sports Apprentice Team Training in the next season. This Program will be available for registration starting: Tuesday, September 17 at NOON.
